Bonus 4-23. Two 9c sheet stamps on Business Reply Mail, July 13, 1978. Convenience overpayment of 1/2 cent (half a cent) for five return items at 3.5c each (17.5c total) with advance deposit account. (Courtesy of Steve Unkrich.) |

Bonus 4-24. 9c coil on postcard dated April 9, 1976. Ordinary intended use of the unprecanceled coil, mainly available from post office vending machines (thus, surprisingly scarce to find.) |

Bonus 4-25. 9c shiny-gum pane of 100 overlaying a dull-gum pane of 100 (top two rows beyond image). Notice that even with starting the shiny-gum pane's inked design slightly to the right of the dull-gum pane's beneath (when "lining up" at bottom-left), by the tenth row (bottom-right), the shiny-gum pane is evidently narrower. (Use the "enlarge" icon at bottom-right of image presented after clicking on image at left, for best view.) |
